Where Our Flanges Serve
Applications
BORWEX flanges are trusted across diverse industries, delivering reliable sealing solutions for critical piping systems worldwide.
Flange for Oil and Gas Pipeline System
Large-bore pipelines for oil and gas transportation carry crude oil, natural gas and oil-gas mixtures. These media are flammable and explosive, imposing extremely high requirements on flange sealing performance and pressure bearing capacity.
Weld Neck Flanges (WN) are preferred for high-pressure oil & gas pipelines, complying with ASME B16.5 / ASME B16.47 standards. Slip-on Flanges (SO) can be adopted for medium and low pressure services. RTJ Ring Type Joint sealing face is widely used for Class600 and above high-pressure classes; Raised Face (RF) is also an option. Common materials include A105 and stainless steel, which shall meet NACE sulphide stress cracking resistance requirements.

Flange for Chemical Plant Process Piping System
Multiple sets of Weld Neck Flanges (WN), stainless steel material, Raised Face (RF) sealing, fitted with metallic gaskets and high-strength bolts. Clear pipeline welds, suitable for corrosive media.
It transports corrosive process fluids and imposes high requirements on material corrosion resistance and flange sealing performance.
Stainless steel WN flanges are commonly used, complying with ASME B16.5 / EN1092-1 standards. Raised Face (RF) is the preferred sealing face. Male & Female (MFM) and Tongue & Groove (T&G) sealing faces are optional for highly toxic and strongly corrosive working conditions.

Flange for Thermal Power Plant Piping System
High-temperature and high-pressure steam piping system, belonging to the main process pipeline network of power stations.
Applicable for large-bore pressure pipelines equipped with Weld Neck Flanges (WN) and gate valves, used in high-temperature & high-pressure steam transmission lines.

Flange for Offshore Platform Piping System
Process piping on the deck of offshore vessels transports oil and gas media. Exposed to marine salt-spray corrosive environment with continuous vibration, it imposes stringent requirements on the corrosion resistance and anti-vibration sealing performance of flanges.
Weld Neck Flanges (WN) and Slip-on Flanges (SO) are widely used for offshore engineering pipelines, complying with ASME B16.5 / EN1092-1 standards. Raised Face (RF) sealing is adopted conventionally, while Ring Type Joint (RTJ) sealing is optional for high-pressure conditions. Flanges are equipped with heavy-duty anti-corrosion treatment and often require certification from classification societies such as DNV and LR.

Flange for Industrial Plant High-Temperature Process Piping System
Large-bore high-temperature process pipelines transport hot steam or thermal process media. Thermal expansion and contraction occur during operation, which places high demands on the high-temperature resistance and sealing stability of flanges.
Weld Neck Flanges (WN) are preferred for high-temperature services, complying with ASME B16.5 / EN1092-1 standards. Raised Face (RF) sealing is commonly adopted, while Ring Type Joint (RTJ) sealing is optional for high-pressure & high-temperature working conditions. High-temperature resistant materials such as A105 and chromium-molybdenum steel are available to accommodate thermal stress generated by temperature cycling.

Flange for Food & Pharmaceutical Cleanroom Process Piping System
Stainless steel pipelines, flange assemblies and pressure gauges. Sanitary polished stainless steel piping with rubber gaskets for sealing. The pipelines have smooth surfaces without dead corners to meet hygiene requirements.
Slip-on Flanges (SO) and Plate Flanges (PL) made of stainless steel are commonly used for such sanitary pipelines with Raised Face (RF) sealing. Polished finish is preferred with low surface roughness to facilitate CIP (Clean-in-Place). The flanges comply with ASME B16.5 and EN1092-1 standards.

Flange for Marine Engine Room Piping System
Large-bore pipelines, flanges, butterfly valves and pressure gauges. A large number of bolted flange connections serve as core components for marine piping. The conveyed media can be fuel oil, cooling water, compressed air, etc.
Marine flanges are generally manufactured in accordance with ASME B16.5, EN1092, JIS and requirements of classification societies.
Compact space with vibration, which demands high reliability of flange sealing performance.
WN Weld Neck Flanges and SO Slip-on Flanges are widely adopted for such marine pipelines. RF is the primary sealing face. RTJ Ring Type Joint sealing face is used for partial high-pressure working conditions.
